USD/JPY week 41

The Japanese Yen was little changed at 105.993 against the US Dollar on Thursday. Investors remained cautious as Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said on Thursday that the economy was starting to pick up and was likely to continue recovering thanks in part to the boost from fiscal and monetary stimulus measures. Meantime, the Federal Open Market Committee minutes revealed that some of the committee members implied openness to increasing the asset-buying program to support the US economy, expressing concerns that a lack of further fiscal stimulus would jeopardize an economic recovery.
